wrapping up the 1st week of the NFL free agency, the Philadelphia Eagles signed former Los Angeles Chargers LB Jatavis Brown and former Denver Broncos S Will Park, a North Philly native
other Eagles news, WR Nelson Agholor is signing w the Las Vegas Raiders, essentially returning to his West Coast roots.
they also said the Eagles have big interest in stud DE Yannick Ngakoue from the Jacksonville Jaguars. he's definitely worth it but not for the rumored asking price of a couple of picks including a 1st rounder and around $20 million a year...yikes! i'd rather save the picks for a possible stud WR and/or possibly rumored Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones
hey...1 can dream!

free agency 2020 pt. 2
FINALLY! we have Tom Brady's new destination team: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! whoda thunk?
-former Carolina Panthers DT Gerald McCoy to the Cowboys
-former Jaguars CB AJ Bouye to the Denver Broncos
-former New England Patriots LB Jamie Collins & Bears QB Chase Daniel to the Detroit Lions
-former Cowboys WR Randall Cobb to the Houston Texans (still won't make up for stupidly trading away DeAndre Hopkins)
the rest i'm too lazy to type up...hopefully something exciting will happen in the draft *sigh*
it will be interesting to see him vs Drew Brees twice a year...similar to him vs Peyton Manning.
on other NFL free agent movements:
-former Philadelphia Eagles S Malcolm Jenkins is looking like he's returning to his stomping ground to the team that drafter him: the New Orleans Saints
-former SB52 MVP Eagles legend and Jacksonville Jaguars QB Nick Foles is traded to the Chicago Bears; joining TE Jimmy Graham (ex-Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Saints) and DE Robert Quinn (ex-Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins)
-former Washington Redskins & Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum to the Cleveland Browns & CB Trae Wayans to the Cincinnati Bengals-former Carolina Panthers DT Gerald McCoy to the Cowboys

momentary relief
when the trade with Brandon Boykin happened, my initial fear was for Philadelphia Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks, one of my other favorite player
like at least Boykin will have some disadvantages so he can't take his revenge on us. Kendricks is a beast. he may be undersized according to Chip Kelly's system but he is one, if not the fastest LB in the league. who you know can chase down a RB? recently Chip said Kendricks is not going anywhere. i've heard that before from him and Andy Reid and POOF! players magically disappeared. i hope Kendricks stays...him and DeMeco Ryans and Kiko Alonso makes and awesome trio. prolly one of the best in the NFL. mark my words

Chad Johnson NOT swimming with the fishes
per say...because as of yesterday, Chad Johnson has been cut by the Miami Dolphins, just a day or 2 after the incident with his wife
Johnson was charged with domestic violence for head-buttin his wife. he was later arrested and i believe has been released. Dolphins' head coach Joe Philbin stated in is interview that it was more so Chad not fittin in with what they were doin. but face it, no one wants an alleged wife abuser on their roster, especially since the commercial came out where NFL, NBA, and soccer and i think other sports (cuz i don't recognize them) talkin about you shouldn't hit your wife, girlfriend, or any females. well, guess Chad missed that commerciali hope he finds a home. i like Chad...just made a mistake. plus i don't like his wife :-\

in the 2012 nfl draft, the philadelphia eagles select...
Fletcher Cox, DT from Mississippi State!
considered as 1 of the best, if not the best dt in the 2012 NFL Draft...the Philadelphia Eagles moved up 3 spots from the 15th to 12th in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks that gave them a 4th and 6th picks to get their man, Cox. the 6'4'', 298lbs product outta MSST is expected to start along with Cullen Jenkins with Mike Patterson, Antonio Dixon, and Derek Landri. hopefully he can make an instant impact against the run and good with the pass

Plaxico Bird-ress?
ever since the release of the ex-New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress from jail, there's been even more speculations now as to where he will land. surprisinly, NFL analysts and i have same mind cuz i thought it'd be a good situation for Burress to end up with the Philadelphia Eagles
lol my photoshop skill isn't up there yet...but you get the idea. i mean, it's a huge advantage for us due to his size and speed. he, and i hate to admit it, killed the Birds in the redzone with his size. besides our speedy receivers, which lack size, Plaxico could be a huge help there. maybe there can another Michael Vick effect within the Eagles organization...but we'll see. there's plenty of WR hungry teams out there so it'll prolly be either 1) who offer the most money or 2) who has the best chances of winnin the big one - depend on Plaxico's situation and priority, money seems more like it - which i don't blame him. either way - we'll see what happens cuz the stupid lockout still in effect...BOO!

the Eagles drafted Clay Matthews
...not really. but the 2011 NFL Draft did concluded today and the Philadelphia Eagles came away with 11 draft picks. 1 of them, whom (is that right?) i've had my eyes on but forgot, is LB Casey Matthews, younger brother of the Green Bay Packers LB Clay Matthews
he's no Clay, but he does have the same bloodline so he should be as a disruptive force to other teams as Clay was to us :) sposedly undersized, but is smart and athletic. Casey should be in line to compete for the MIKE or possibly help out on SAM
other draftees included:
rd 2 - Jaiquawn Jarrett S
rd 3 - Curtis Marsh CB
rd 4 - Casey Matthews LB & Alex Henery K
rd 5 - Dion Lewis RB & Julian Vandervelde C
rd 6 - Jason Kelce G & Brian Rolle LB
rd 7 - Greg Lloyd LB & Stanley Havili RB
i don't understand the extra need for RB but maybe it's for leverage purposes...and draftin a K certainly means David Akers oughta be on his tip top toes in tip top shape

welcome new Eagle(s)!
as the 2011 NFL Draft wrapped up today, i was kinda in a neutral mindstate as to who the Philadelphia Eagles were gonna pick and how good/effective he was. so with the 23rd pick underway, the Eagles drafted a 26yr old OL Danny Watkins out of Baylor University in Texas
can't really say i've heard much about him but from what the analysts were sayin, he's pretty good/decent that he's a big guy with good mechanics. and plus, anythin to help out either the strugglin Winston Justice (if he doesn't improve, again) and replaces Nick Cole or somebody...
ps - he's also a firefighter, which was pretty cool when he had a buncha guys cheerin for him

really? him? REALLY?!
so Madden NFL game decided to be different this year and decided to put a fuckin votin bracket to see who the fans wanna see on the Madden 12 cover. that's nice and dandy and all but when the result was announced today, i couldn't believe my eyes. then again, it reminded me of how STUPID these fans are
after beatin out the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Larry Fitzgerald, the finalist were the Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick and Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis. yes, the white running back

...so who did the fans voted for?

me no see football?
well that's what it seems like as the final day for the negotiation between the NFLPA and the NFL about the CBA. after the 1st extension and a 2nd 7-days extension, the Union has declared "decertification", which i BELIEVE was to displaced them from the players and leavin them to fend for themselves in court and no longer represents them, and now the 2011-2012 season is officially in LOCKOUT!
DUN-DUN-DUN!
so what now? i don't know...and neither does everyone else. all i know is that they (union, NFL, every party that's involved) better get their acts straight because i and every fuckin person in America wanna see football! or else we gotta watch the Philadelphia Souls...eek!

Defensive Hair Of The Year
so the NFL's first yearly award went to Pittsburgh Steelers' STroy Polamalu for the AP Defensive Player Of The Year
i think he deserved it. Troy got 17 votes, which edged out Green Bay's LB Clay Matthews with 15. Clay is a disruptive force indeed and should be definately held accountable for alot of the Packers' win but it's Polamalu's ability to be over and under, readin the coverage and make game changin plays (ie: vs Baltimore) that have him truly earned it. plus he seems so humble and such a great guy. and the hair, too!

catchin up on the Birds
and it's all about the playoffs
so after the Miracle Of The New Meadowlands against the New York Giants, i knew the Philadelphia Eagles would recover from it against the Minnesota Vikings. so goin in against the Dallas Cowboys for the last game, it was a given they would rest the starters and Kevin Kolb would play against the Boys with our 2nd and 3rd string against the Boys' 1st string. the nerves of the 5-10 (then) Cowboys tauntin after winnin by one point...with their starters against our backups...fuckin losers. but at the end of the day, they go home and prepare their stadium to host the Super Bowl teams, and we host the Green Bay Packers for the 1st round of the NFL Playoffs!

they got what they asked for
another breakin news from the NFL as Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress now joins Wade Phillips as he was fired today durin mid-season after a horrific game against the Green Bay Packers yesterday
even as they activated WR Sidney Rice off the PUP list, they lost to Green Bay 31-3 and that pretty much sealed the fate for Childress, who's players and fans haven't been gettin along with and the owner had enough
oh well...defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will step in as interm and he seems fit for the job - hopefully just not against us :D

WHAT A !@#$%^ GAME!
let's start off by sayin that nothin gets me goin than a sports rivalry. in any sports, you play it because you love it and you have a respect for those who play in it. football players and coaches shake hand and hug after agame...mma fighters shows respect to each other after a match...people respectin people because @ the end of the day, everyone gets paid and no fatality occurs...and if someone does disrespect you, you handle it on a neutral ground as in the ring or the field
with that said - WHAT A FUCKIN GAME! Philadelphia Eagles - 59, Washington Redskins - 28

BREAKING NEWS!! MINNESOTA VIKINGS WAIVED RANDY MOSS!
well, NFL.com had it 1st, but still! wow...they picked up Randy Moss only 4 weeks ago and granted he wasn't explosive as they would like...but the entire team isn't doin as well...even Adrain Peterson ain't doin as well...prolly only Percy Harvin but he's not gon be able to carry em...oh boy, what'll Brad Childress do now? how's the future down the road look for the Minnesota Vikings?
all i know is, i better see Brett Farve when they come to play the Philadelphia Eagles :D
