can we get back to football, plz?!

i'm so sick and tired of baseball and whatever else is on. after basketball, i don't care anymore!! it's all about the NFL! draft! free agents! ota! training camp! FOOTBALL!!
of course when you're speakin of football, the beloved Philadelphia Eagles shall come up. especially with this year's availability of the OTA's and training camp...the possibilities are endless! sky's the limit

on that note, a lil' birdseed:
-4x Pro Bowl CB Asante Samuel was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. now Nnamdi Asomugha and DRC can focus more on press coverage and know their roles better
-we picked up a stud MIKE linebacker, DeMeco Ryans, from the Houston Texans for cheap actually. since they're goin to a 3-4 from a 4-3, Ryans saw his role diminished so he was actually not needed in that defense. good for us cuz from around the league, he's the real deal since The Axe Man Jeremiah Trotter
-1st yr Eagle DT Cullen Jenkins will retire an Eagle as he is now locked up for multiple years. Jenkins came off a Super Bowl win with the Green Bay Packers and now is in full-time as Mike Patterson's partner in that wide-9
-what's really important this year is no contract issue. ex-disgruntled WR DeSean Jackson has signed a multi-year contract worth somewhere around $45-50 mil for 5yrs. stud RB LeSean McCoy also extended his contract for another 4yrs (i think). the Eagles signed all their own players such as superstar DE Trent Cole, reliable G/T Todd Herremans, and inked G Evan Mathis to a longer contract since he was a free agent and turned down the Baltimore Ravens to stay here
-speakin of the o-line, one downside is stud LT Jason Peters hurt his knee or Achilles? i forgot but he will be out for a WHILE if not the entire season. the Birds covered the loss by signin Demetress Bell from the Buffalo Bills. ironically, Bell replaced Peters in Buffalo and now again. o-line coach Howard Mudd seems to like him and see some athleticism in him. hopefully he can gel well with the o-line because that was one of the few positive from last season
-there were no real upgrade in the deep secondary but i have faith in Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman as they're now another yr older and hopefully smarter. as long as they stay healthy, i think they'll be just fine as long as the d-line do their thing. but also behind them is 2nd yr Jaiquawn Jarrett, who's lookin much more comfortable and Tom Nelson, who i think is a solid backup. they did sign veteran Oshiomogho Atogwe, who's 30+. i find that funny because they let all-time great Brian Dawkins go and i think primarily due to his age...but now realizin their mistake in partially from former (yes, he's nicely considered as fired) Eagles president Joe Banner, i guess they're takin a shot in Atogwe
-don't know how much impact this'll make but they signed a veteran P Mat McBriar. i guess to push Chas Henry? eh, if they would've kept David Akers and Sav Rocca, we could've focused on more offense or defense - i'm not big on special team

um...besides that, there were rumors of them bringin in veteran TEs like Vishante Shiancoe and Jeremy Shockey but Shianco signed with the New England Patriots while Shockey is unlikely, even though they both worked out for the Birds. also - hope draftee CB Brandon Boykin can take gay ass Joselio Hanson's spot - ugh, can't stand him!

anyway - GO BIRDS! E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!
