long-distance record holdin swimmer Diana Nyad was recently in the news for her swimmin voyage from the Key West in Florida to Cuba. the trip would take her around 100+ miles through storms and sharks infested water

Diana set out for the swim on August 18th and ended yesterday after she suffered from severe jellyfish stings and what seems like a broiled-affect from the sun as these pictures surfaced on Yahoo!

DAMN! ...DAMN! to her credit, she was 62 when she set out and almost turned 63 when she was rescued out of the trip only bein half way there. i wish i still have that type of endurance when i'm even 55...geez. g'luck to her though. hope she makes a full recovery and takes another crack at it...no pun intended
