sad day for Eagles Nation

4 days ago...i was scheduled to work on Sunday. listenin to sports radio 97.5 The Fanatic to feed my ears for breakfast, they broke the news of the Philadelphia Eagles' head coach Andy Reid not at camp/practice. next thing you know, emergency personnel were called in to Lehigh Valley campus. turned out that Andy's oldest son, Garrett Reid, was found dead in his room
it was such a disheartened news. i can tell how much Andy loves his family by the time he puts in with his football family and his involvement to help his sons. coach Reid's sons, includin Britt, both had their issues with illegal substances. the media had their moment of coverage when the sons were arrested. but all that aside, it seems like Garrett was turnin his life around. he was with his dad, workin with the strength and conditionin coaches at camp, and seems to be doin better. the players love him, so the news took the players by surprised as well as Eagles fans

his funeral was held on Tuesday and an abundance amount of support and love was shown for Andy Reid. the likes of New England Patriots' head coach Bill Belichick, New Orleans interm head coach Joe Vitt, Andy's ex-coachin staff like Baltimore Ravens' head coach John Harbaugh, NO's defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, and many more. over 900 people were in attendants and for the most part, it was a quite respectful event

Andy returned to coachin on Wednesday and they will host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, which is tonight :)

GO EAGLES!

R.I.P. Garrett Reid
