Birdfeed PSG3 vs Packers

-Birdfeed: just a Philadelphia Eagles game feedbacks, inputs, and random junks

-PreSeason Game3: vs Green Bay Packers

-Flight Time:

RB Raheem Mostert started off with a big run. new G Allen Barbre did a shitty job blocking on a screen. a big debut for QB Sam Bradford and he sure made the most of it. Bradford was 10/10 on 3 drives; all resulting in TDs. 1 on a beautiful wheel route to RB Darren Sproles. beautiful touch over the LB. 2nd a strike to TE Trey Burton as a free blitzer delivered a good hit. the 3rd was to the unsung hero TE Brent Celek in the endzone with a laser. Bradford had some beautiful throws to WR Jordan Matthews and Sproles. showed comfortability (is that a word?) and calmness in the pocket. made all the correct, decisive throws and didn't falter as defense blitzed
Chip Kelly went for the experimental QB Tim Tebow 2pt conversions. both times failed. we should've had 21pts but P Kip Smith missed a FG.

some things i noticed from the defense:
-NT Bennie Logan had a deep penetration for a loss of 4yds
-rookie CB Eric Rowe allowed catch but ripped it out as they were going to ground. Rowe is gonna get picked on alot. his cover speed is a great. his break off the ball is delayed and he gives too much cushion. it's gonna be hard when they line up a slot with the likes of Julio Jones or Roddy White...
-LB Bryan Braman knocked the ball loose on kick off but couldn't recover
-S Walter Thurmond is having an outstanding preseason by sealing his resume with a pick 6
-CB Nolan Carroll saved a TD after rookie LB Jordan Hicks, CB Byron Maxwell, and S Malcolm Jenkins got beat (smh). Carroll is actually doing very well this preseason. i'm surprised but glad. can't trust a rookie yet...
-DE Fletcher Cox did a nice job to stop a 3rd down run
-LB Mychal Kendricks missed tackle for big run. he must be really rusty because he got called for PI in endzone. didn't even turned head around. Green Bay is only getting TDs off our penalties
-Jenkins got called for a hold that erased another Maxwell INT
-DE Cedric Thornton did a nice job stripping the QB but no recovery
-CB EJ Biggers stay getting lost in coverage
-LB Naje Goode had a good hit on a RB

besides the defense, the Eagles put up 39 points in the first half. QB Mark Sanchez threw a nice TD pass to WR Jeff Maehl. RB Kenjon Barner had a TD erased by an illegal formation. there were some nice screens. nice bubble pass. but after the half, we were pretty much playing keep away. the fucking 3rd team defense let a huge run. S Ed Reynolds is too weak to bring down their RB. too many fuckin holes. too many fuckin blow coverages. to many fuckin missed tackles. unacceptable!

when a win is a win. regardless if their starting QB and best receiver isn't playing, their 1st defense is. and we put up 39 points. period

Top Birds:
-QB Sam motherfucking Bradford: 10/10. 3 drive = 3 TDs. what more could you ask for? the funny thing is his QBR wasn't even perfect...like, how can it not when he was? the fuck you mean? bullshit system. i really like Nick Foles. didn't really like the trade but now Bradford is giving me, and the rest of Eagles fans ALOT of hope. alot...

-RB Darren Sproles: a mismatch all night. we should definitely exploit this more. i mean, who can really cover him? you bring down a safety with a LB underneath and we'll just go high. i really love this fuckin option

-TE Trey Burton: stay beasting. fuckin catching everything. i really like our TEs options. expecting Burton to be a huge x factor

-1st team o-line ans d-line: the front 5 kept Bradford and Sanchez clean. the 7 man D are fuckin awesome, especially the front 3. i know Chip's an offensive guy but the defense will be highly noticed

overall - we did put up big numbers but it's scary knowing if the starters go down, the backups aren't that great. lets hope Kelly's dieting regimen works...
