me: hi, this is (*insert communication company*) calling about your phone service letting you know i'll be there in half an hr
customer: ok. yeah, well my phone is not working. it's been going on and off and now it's not working at all. do you know what the problem is?
me: yeah, your phone is not working...
duh. why else would you call us? smh
