end of an era and start of a new one for Bulls USA

with the NBA announcing recently of the 34 players that will be training camp for Team USA, 1 superstar name was left off: Derrick Rose

leading up to the announcement, Rose was undecided. other stars have declared for camp and new faces as well. even though Rose was an integral part of the team winning their last gold medal, i guess he just didn't want to this year.

i don't blame him though. we all know of his well documented injuries but i'm sure Rose himself would say it's not about getting injured. i think he's just thinking about his future. rightfully so. i read one article suggesting that this might be the end for Rose and the Olympics. maybe. but at least the Chicago Bulls will be well represented this year with newly addition Jimmy Butler

after a great breakout season last year, earning an All-Star nod and winning Most Improved Player award, Butler's hoping to add a gold medal to his impressive resume. i'm looking forward to seeing him play.
