thanks friends around the league!

so...to really make this quick because i am lazy...me and the wife went to yesterday game between the Philadelphia Eagles hostin the 4-1 Atlanta Falcons. Kevin Kolb was extremely impressive, over 300 yards, 133 QB ratin and 3 TDs (2 to Jeremy Maclin and 1 to DeSean Jackson), 1 INT (which was tipped)...however he did fucked up by placin the ball in front of DeSean's route that forced him to extend to it and got him knocked out by a Falcons' DB. both players were down by Jackson was out cold, even when he came to term had some memory loss. before that, Jackson single handedly tore through the Falcons defense with a TD on the 2nd play of their 1st posession. after that, it was Jason Avant, Maclin, and even after a few drops, Brent Celek, and rookie Chad Hall made some impact. also can't leave out a reliable LeSean McCoy and Eldra Buckely also stepped in @ the last quarter

on the defense, Asante Samuel picked up an interception after it got tipped. defense learned to wrapped up a lil' better and Trent Cole got 2 sacks (i believe)...overall a good day only allowin 17 points

now...what made this day even better was the afternoon game between the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings resulted how i wanted with the Boys goin to 1-5! thanks to Brett Farve and the young receivers and also the defense for pressurin Tony Romo. also, thanks to Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts winnin over the Washington Redskins by pickin off Donovan McNabb and overcame alot of fuckin penalties! ps, Pierre Garcon made an INCREDIBLE one handed catch! just amazin! also so did Aaron Fransico but i can't find it online

i'm a big Joseph Addai fan so for him to get hurt, again, was horrible...hope it's nothin serious...and the same goes for Jackson and the Falcons DB. i know injuries come with the sports but if it could be avoided, it should and hope they all return healthy

another escape by the Eagles!

how you manage to let 14 unanswered points happened? the defense was pretty decent for the most part, reducin RB Frank Gore to not much but did allowed a TD pass to him and same with TE Vernon Davis who also ended up with a TD himself...for the most part...no definitive answer as to how good the Philadelphia Eagles are
from the start, the San Francisco 49ers came out swingin and scored 1st with a TD pass from QB Alex Smith to WR Michael Crabtree. luckily for us, we bounced back and Kevin Kolb made a play outside the box to TE Brent Celek, who messed up on a block that flushed Kolb out. besides that 30+ pass or the TD pass, Kolb really needs to stop doin that Romo-Witten relationship where he throws it to him all the time even when he's not open. he's no Dallas Clark or Antonio Gates or Davis! the other 2 TD came from a fumble recovery from Smith, who was chased down by rookie DE Brandon Graham, by S Quintin Mikell and a rushin attempt by LeSean McCoy. McCoy ran for almost 100 yards in a flak jacket for his fractured rib. somehow he managed and handled the ball very well...except for a mistaken play where he slid in the 4th quarter thinkin he had the 1st down and run down the clock...but didn't.

now...DEFENSE on the other hand had their ups and downs. the down: besides Sean McDermott runnin the same play, LB Stewart Bradley got burned a couple of times when tryin to cover Vernon Davis...CB Hoselio Hanson and Dimitri Patterson fillin in for the concussioned Asante Samuel didn't work too well because...Hanson SUCKS! Patterson was ok...becasuse the ups: the had an INT which was helpful, and so did rookie CB Trevard Lindley @ the end of the play as Smith got hit by Trevor Laws. LB Akeem Jordan was replaced by Moise Fokou for the startin job and did great, with a positive 1 arm tackle, bein physical and a forced fumble on Gore. Mikell, of course, with his TD and S Nate Allen ALMOST came up with a sack but overran Smith but had a solid game...

as for some injuries; McCoy seems to be doin ok...QB Michael Vick seems like he could be out for 1 more week but he could make a recovery enough to play against next week for the 4-1 Atlanta Falcons, his previous team. DeSean Jackson seemed like he banged up his knee durin a punt return but later came back in the game; can't say the same for LT Jason Peters who went out with some knee problem and was replaced by the thought-to-be-impressive-turned-out-unimpressive King Dunlap...how Dunlap played made me realized we kinda need Peters :(...and a severe cause for concern is the injury to DT Brodrick Bunkley who looked like he could've hyperextended his left arm...but hopefully he's good to go next week

and some note: newly activated WR Chad Hall caught a very crucial 3rd down conversion pass...Kolb was sacked 4 times and fumbled once, so did McCoy...WR Jeremy Maclin had a solid game too with 95 yards...um...oh yeah, special team SUCKS!! do your job Bobby April! also Todd Heremens fucked up on a TD run by McCoy with a holdin call but did managed to scooped up a McCoy's fumble pretty damn quick...besides that, stupid New York Giants beat the slumpin Houston Texans, the Washington Redskins came back and win with a field goal against the Green Bay Packers and the "Super Bowl bound" Dallas Cowboys is 1-3 thanks the the Tennessee Titans...so good day in the NFC East :D

bullyin and beyond

i woke up this mornin to an article on Yahoo! about a teenage Croatian girl who committed suicide. this high school in Ohio is facin it's 4th suicidal death within 3 years and it's all over one reason: bullyin
not to take it as a joke...^^...but i'm just tryin to make sense of these situations
-the recent incident with the death of the Croatian girl; she was made fun of because she's a foreigner with a thick accent. ewsflash: it's 2010 and foreigners are everywhere in this country. this is what happens in small towns. they're so secluded from the outside world that anythin different from the typical norm is considered to be okay to poke fun of, ridicule or even to the point where they harrass them physically. why? what's wrong with a native person of a country havin their own dialect? what's so funny about that? if you don't have the proper upbringin with manners and respect...you're let loosed into society with pure ignorance and the inability to adapt and the mindset of a bigot
-the 2nd situation was from a boy, same school, who just so happens to like to wear pink. he was bullied to the point where he ended up killin himself. after repeated attempt by family member to askin the school to intervene and friends tryin to help him...the result was inevitable. now was it because he likes pink while boys don't think it's right? or was it because they thought he was gay? either way - what's the problem? regardless of any personal's views on gays...it's no one's rights to be aggressive in malicious ways to them. accept it or not, these feelins need to be dealt properly within this small town, because the real world won't stand for it and nor will there be an entire flock of people engagin in any hainous acts
-there was a friend of the boy who killed himself, who also killed herself in a similar method. apparently she suffered the fate of bullyin as well. she died with the picture of the boy next to her with a caption that read R.I.P. on it...
-and another girl died from an anti-depressant overdose that she took from her mom. she wasn't too pleased with goin to school but her mom made her anyway...i guess the bullyin @ school was too much to the point where she felt that anti-depressant pills were necessary...
.
.
i'm not about blamin it all on the kids @ school, which is mostly responsible...but the bullied kids need to understand that they need to build a stronger sense of confidence, thicker skin and be able to focus pass that. you can't let people like this get to you...people like that obviously have no trainin @ home so they lash out @ others because their backgrounds are just as messed up as their lives. high school is an obstacle course that needs to be overcome before you can journey out and discover how strong of a person you really are

Moss in Minnesota, again

ahhh...i'm patiently waitin for the day when Brian Dawkins comes back to the Philadelphia Eagles and Brian Westbrook returns back and even Donovan McNabb re-emerge as a QB...just like the late great Reggie White from the Green Bay Packers...but for now, it's the Minnesota Vikings' turn for that moment. their prolific WR Randy Moss that they let go to the Oakland Raiders and resurrected his career with the New England Patriots is now, home? a deal was made for the Vikes to get Moss from the Pats for the Vikes' 3rd round 2011 pick and the Pats give em Moss and a 2012 pick. interestin...apparently Randy was already feelin unappreciated seein how it's his last year and no contract talk have been brought up...so after bein held to 0 catch last game against the Miami Dolphins, it was time...oh well, hopefully the combination of Farve + Moss + Peterson + Berrian + Shiancoe + Rice + Harvin won't be too much for us to handle later down the schedule :(
