UFC 118: boxing vs mma

that title was for the highly anticipated? fight between boxin great James Toney and UFC Hall Of Famer Randy Couture...but the main fight was the rematch between the champion Frankie Edgar vs BJ Penn

to start off, James Toney supposedly talk down about the UFC and it's president, Dana White. so when the time was right, i guess White offered Toney a fight and sure enough, it was goin to be The Natural Randy Couture that gets the honor of defendin the MMA sport. Couture, who was in the film The Expendables with big action heroes, is 47, comin off a win against another UFC HOF Mark Coleman. so naturally, Couture was in good shape, while Toney was to get into shape but this is what it looked like @ the weigh-ins

...yea...so what's the result of that fight between Couture vs Toney? an arm triangle choke within the 1st round by Couture...yea, i think sports columnists used the word, um...oh yea, SLOPPY. go figure right?

the main card is an actual UFC bout between Edgar and Penn, who fought in UFC 112 where Edgar won via decision over Penn to become the new light heavyweight champion. so...this match was theoretically the same with Edgar defeat Penn, AGAIN, to retain his championship via decision...maybe it's just me but it seems like BJ Penn is startin to show his age? i don't know...go online and find the full vids, i'm lazy...see ya next UFC event!!
