pic a plate: K-Town, Cherry Hill, NJ

i need a better pic, seein how i went here multiple times already. it's a nice little Korean BBQ restaurant in Cherry Hill, NJ call K-Town BBQ. it's actually a franchise that i don't feel like findin the actual name. it's located off rt. 70 in the Sawmill Village. we stumbled on this through my Google Maps reviews, helpful as shit, and fell in love since

it's more than just bbq here; they have a variety of food from soup to hot pot to fried food...specialty in chicken, pork and beef. also they have a Korean Hoagie, which is fuckin ridiculously good...only $8!

since my phone doesn't have flash, these pics'll do
after we ordered our meal, they brought this nifty little plates of appetizers. it includes, and this is MY description as accurately as i can: kimchee (excuse the spellin), which is this spicy-ish cabbage, hard black bean, sweet pickled cucumber (DELICIOUS!), steamed mini brocolis in this sweet sauce, ham cubes, potato cubes, some type of anchovie/fish?, and each a bowl of warm cabbage soup. the hardboiled egg was for her soup...from these dishes, i'd recommend the cucumbers, ham, brocoli, potato, and if you're into it, the fish thingy...
this was part of a whole circular piece...it's a seafood pancake for appetizer...it's pretty good, light...needed some sauce...it has scallions? and onions...good though, doughy...
this is our entrees. the pot on the right is hers. it's some sort of hot pot soup consist of seafood like shrimp, oyster, i think scallops...with tofu. while mine is this mix & match grilled meat, which consists of beef and chicken. it comes with a plate of veggies to wrap it...and boy is it delicious. this meal is $30 though...so have an appetite. it's technically for 2 but i ordered just for myself :D

overall: 5/5 - i really like this place. the staff is friendly and helpful if you don't understand somethin. their water is, to me, rice water, which is pretty good...an aquired taste. their portions are great and the food is excellent, everytime! enjoy some culture!

  1. It's weird eating soup without noodles...hmh, have I been converted to a Vietnamese girl? Oh no, your worst fear... ;)
The soup, although enjoyable, was lacking something, probably the carbs I am used to @ good ole Viet Town. And I pass on soft tofu next time.
