Birdfeed PSG4 vs Jets

-Birdfeed: just a Philadelphia Eagles game feedbacks, inputs, and random junks
-PreSeason Game4: vs New York Jets
-Flight Time:
so as we know comin in this game that the starters, majority of them, will sit out for the Birds. however, the Jets' backup QB Tim Tebow also sat out...strange, i was really lookin forward to see him play. oh well...in the QB spot were 2 passer that i have no idea about...1 of whom is ex-New York Giants QB Phil Simms' son, Matt Simms. the big story for the Jets comin in this game was that they haven't scored a TD in the last 3 preseason games. well why not now, right? as the Eagles somehow managed to let them in the endzone...the 1st Jets QB scored a TD pass to none other than RB Terrance Ganaway, ex-Eagles Jeremiah Trotter's nephew. luckily, that was the end of that as QB Trent Edwards came in the 2nd quarter and finish the game with 22/32...197yds and 2 TDs, 1 to WR Mardy Gilyard and TE Brett Brackett, a catch that was similar to the 1 TE Clay Harbor had a couple games back
the other 2 TDs came from RB Bryce Brown in the redzone and RB Chris Polk also in the redzone. the Eagles were quite productive in the redzone. and when they weren't, they (the QBs) made good decision by either throwin it away or just get enough and play another down without gettin injured...somethin i think Michael Vick should take notice. besides the offense bein busy, the defense was also busy as they notched 6 sacks! 2 from DT Frank Trotter, 2 from DE Vinny Curry, and 1 each from LB Monte Taylor and Akeem Jordan. very impressed with the backup d-line's pressure and relentlessness. they made the difference in the game as far as keepin the Jets' offense to i believe only like...under 10yds the 2nd half...:-D

-Top Birds:
-QB Trent Edwards: surprisinly it's not Nick Foles, who was decent but didn't get enough playin time due to the Jets' milkin the time up 1st quarter. Edwards made some great plays. i love his toughness the way he stood in the pocket to make them throws...especially the 1 to the endzone to Gilyard. he also made some great throws to WR Chad Hall and even better catches by him
-rookie DT Frank Trotter: Trotter made a clear impression in the last preseason game. unfortunately, it was the last preseason game. hopefully he left his mark because he was pressurin the QB all the time and always in the backfield
-rookie LB Ryan Rau: man he was impressive. his name was called multiple times...for good things too. good instincts, good playmakin ability...good player. it's gon be hard to keep all these LBs...hope he gets a chance. if not, practice squad please!
-WR Mardy Gilyard and Chad Hall: both made great plays. both made great catches. Mardy got that TD while Hall was targeted multiple times but just a bit undersized to catch the 'go get it' ball
-S Jaiquawn Jarrett: finally! the local kid finally showed some moxy! he made some good plays...hard hittin plays...and nose always around the ball. he should be playin like this some more...just be more relax and play football
-LB Akeem Jordan: i thought for the startin WILL LB, Jordan played well. he was prolly the only started playin and he seems to be embracin his role as a starter. i hope that he will show up durin regular season

...i WILL add this..K Alex Henery better be on noticed cuz he fucked up again! this time missin a short field goal, makin it his 2nd in the preseason. he better get them kinks out before they bring in a free agent kicker to challenge him like they did with P Chas Henry...some games will be decided by a field goal or 2

overall - solid, solid performance by everyone. i wish this was up to date but i'm lazy...eh

-Injury Report:
S OJ Atogwe was out with a hamstring injury. it's hard to see how he'll make the team when he can't even stay on the field. besides that, everyone was good to go for the regular season!
