my projected 53 Birds

with the preseason around the corner and the deadline to cut the roster down to eventually be a 53-man roster, here's what i think the Philadelphia Eagles will look like on openin day (accordin to the current roster)

Quarterbacks: (3)

*at this stage, it's hard to see who has the more impression on the coaches. it's hard to tell what these rookies have to offer but as the weeks pass, we should have more sense of who'll emerge
(EDIT: 8/8 - they've since acquired RB Ronnie Brown from the Dolphins so i think he'll fit in as the 2nd down back and 1 of the rookies is goin to be on the practice squad)
Fullbacks: (1)

*the last 2 brings experience to the game, and while Moss battled some past injuries...word is he still has that explosiveness on the field. there's a good chance that Reid may keep 7 and that could be a toss between Chad Hall and Rod Harper. then again, Harper might go back on the practice squad...eek. however, given the track records...i don't think Reid will keep THAT small of a receiver in Hall (ie: Danny Amendola - Rams)
Tight Ends: (3)

*depends on how well Harbor does...he still hasn't been THAT impressive. i think his break off the route is similar to Celek, not in a good way, and he lacks the physicality like Cornelius Ingram. if Ingram can stay healthy, he could beat out Harbor...i would like to see Ingram over Harbor though
Offensive Line: (8)

*i think Howard and Dunlap can back up the Tackle position and Mathis can fill in any Guard. just in case anythin happen to Jackson again via injury, McGlynn can step back in as Center, which he was very good @ last season. i wouldn't be surprise if Mathis be right guard
(EDIT: 8/8 - they've acquired T Ryan Harris from the Broncos so it seems that he'll start @ RT and they moved McGlynn behind Watkins @ RG...so they might get rid of prolly Howard)

Victor Abiamiri been nothin but an walkin injury prone...and they MAY be able to squeeze Daniel Te'o-Nesheim in to make it 10...and rookie DT Cedric Thornton will prolly end up on the practice squad

so...i ended up with 54 players - not bad...if i had to get rid of someone, it'll prolly be 1 of the LBs...for some reason, they don't seem as...in depth as i think the organization feel they are. whatever happens, i just hope we're not swingin and a-missin...
