pic a plate: Thai Chili 88, Sicklerville, NJ

so this place we tried out is in some dumpy lookin strip mall but it had good reviews. this Asian cuisine place...more like Thai/Malaysian/Chinese/Viet place i think...called Thai Chili 88 in Sicklerville, NJ

i ordered appetizer cuz she didn't see anythin great...so i ordered this steam Shumai (wrinkly wonton with shrimp..or pork) and it came out tiny as shit...we inhaled those suckers so quick i didn't have time to snap a pic. either way, the shit was prolly those frozen ones cuz my sis used to eat those and they look/taste just like that...

for my entree i got the Whiskey Beef
which prolly taste more like beef teriyaki with sesame seeds on a bed of mixed steamed vegetables. it was quite delicious though...the sauce mixed with the heart-shaped rice was awesome...and the vegetables were a good contrast to the heavy meat and sauce

she got the Chicken & Eggplant (i forgot the actual name)

i think it had onions in it but i know it has scallions (love sauteed scallions!!). the chicken was so tender and i hate eggplants but she made me tried some. they were good...but eventually my hatred for them was occured because one of the eggplant had that stingy-flavored to em. yuck! she ordered brown rice but they forgot. they did eventually bring it out and i took the pyramid-shaped rice on my plate...i <3 rice :)

she also wanted vegetables cuz she's on this diet thingy...so i guess they never had people get sides of vegetables so they made an entire entree of vegetables...with sauce on the side

of course, i took the circle-shaped rice and we shared the extra veggies, which were delicious as steamed veggies can get

the oranges to wash the food down were delicious and sweet. the artsy-ness to it was pretty cool and a great idea because we didn't want dessert...also cuz their dessert menu doesn't exists. it only consists of ice cream, cheesecake, and somethin else...

overall: 3.5/5 - not a place for desert fans...good place for hearty Asian food. seems too much like stuff you can get @ a Chinese store though...but nice place to eat for those Sicklervillians who don't have the Chinese store availability
